Leadership Nebraska selects Brittany Webber

May 23, 2022– The Nebraska Chamber Foundation announced that Brittany Webber has been selected to participate in Leadership Nebraska Class XIV.

Brittany is a Customer Relations Representative at State Nebraska Bank & Trust in Wayne. Her responsibilities include opening new accounts, troubleshooting online and mobile banking issues, monthly bank statement proof work and publishing, and social media and website management.
She is also the initial point of contact for new or existing customers for the bank. State Nebraska Bank & Trust is the only locally owned bank in Wayne and has been run by the same family for five generations.

Brittany graduated from Norfolk Senior High School. She attended Wayne State College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Management and Marketing. Brittany is a graduate of Leadership Wayne, Class XIII, is a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and holds a Nebraska Cosmetology License.

She is a mentor for the Wayne Teammates program, a member of the Wayne Area Economic Development’s Chicken Show Committee, which plans the community’s annual summer festival, a member of the Wayne Area Economic Development’s special events committee, and a volunteer for State Nebraska Bank & Trust “Blue Devil Branch”, a program that encourages elementary-aged students to start saving early. She volunteers with the “Spring Sprints” track meet hosted by the Wayne Community Schools for special education students and volunteers as a Meals on Wheels delivery person. She also participates in the “Taste of Victory” tailgate fundraiser for the Wayne Community Schools.

Married to Steve, she moved back to Wayne in 2018 after a few years in Sioux City, Iowa.

Leadership Nebraska was founded in 2006 to identify current and emerging leaders throughout the state, enhance their leadership skills and deepen their knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing Nebraska.

Participants have been selected from across the state and possess varied backgrounds and diverse talents. All candidates have demonstrated an abiding interest in Nebraska and its future.

The nine-month program covers a broad range of key Nebraska issues, including economic development, workforce and education, agriculture and environment, health care, education, government, and policy development.

“If we’re going to compete and win in the race for new families, talent, innovation and community development over the next five to 10 years, we need strong, informed and connected leaders to help us go the distance,” said Bryan Slone, NE Chamber President. “We’re pleased to welcome such a high-caliber group, from across the state into the program.”
