At State Nebraska Bank & Trust, we believe community investment is a priority. That’s what makes us unique in our approach to hometown banking.
Watch Our Employees Share Why They Give Back and Invest
Without the business from our customers in Wayne and the surrounding area, we realize we could not be the successful bank we are today for more than one hundred years. We give back to show our appreciation, but also because we believe it is the right thing to do to. Local investment creates a healthy, strong place to work, live, raise a family and more.Matthew Ley
We support all of our employees with their volunteer efforts in the community, whether during banking hours or after. Our employees have volunteered with community organizations like TeamMates, Rotary, United Way, WAED/Chamber of Commerce, Wayne Elementary Boosters, Kiwanis, and more.

Our Employees are Committed to the Community
At SNB, we give where we live. That’s why we donate to local non-profit organizations and causes like Haven House, Wayne United Way, Wayne State College, Wayne Community Schools, the Majestic Theatre and more. We also match our employees’ donations to United Way 100%, making SNB the largest local contributor to the Wayne United Way campaign each year. In 2020, our combined donation with employees to the Wayne United Way came to nearly $5,000.

Our Scholarships Invest in the Future
SNB donates over $18,000 in scholarships each year to talented young leaders.
We also recognize outstanding teaching at Wayne State College through the SNB Teaching Excellence Award. David Ley, the bank’s chairman of the board, established the award in 1998 as a way of recognizing and strengthening outstanding teaching at Wayne State.
This prestigious honor is awarded on the basis of rigorous standards that require a superior level of effective teaching. Recipients are recognized during spring commencement at WSC and receive a gift of $1,200 from SNB.
