SNB Donates $25,000 to Wayne Area Legacy Fund

State Nebraska Bank & Trust CEO Matthew Ley, Chairman David Ley, and Century Club Coordinator Kaki Ley presented a check for $25,000 to Wayne Area Legacy Fund members Eric Knutson and Liz Onderstal.

August 5, 2022 – SNB donated $25,000 to the Wayne Area Legacy Fund to help kick off its newcapital campaign.

The Wayne Area Legacy Fund (WALF) is dedicated to improving and maintaining long-term viability within the community through an endowment fund that supports and strengthens local nonprofit organizations.  As an affiliated fund of the Nebraska Community Foundation, WALF is governed by local advisory members who give back to the organization financially and by volunteering their time. Since inception, WALF has donated more than $50,000 to local organizations, including the Wayne Kids Club After School Program, the Majestic Theatre, and the Greenwood Cemetery.

WALF recently celebrated its 5-year anniversary and has kicked off a new capital campaign to raise $100,000.  State Nebraska Bank & Trust is proud to support this effort with a donation of $25,000.
